Professor Armin Rosencranz, a political scientist and lawyer with long roots in South Asian environmental law, joined the law school community for several days. He came to Bhutan to work with Professor Tshering Dolkar, junior lecturer in environmental law, to help design the law school’s environmental law coursework.
Professor Armin is the author of Environmental Law and Policy in India, the first comprehensive textbook on Indian environmental law. The book is now in its third edition.
During the visit, Armin and Tshering met with officials from the Royal Society for the Protection of Nature, the National Environment Commission, and the World Wildlife Fund. They also held a number of meetings with faculty and administration of the law school.
