The delegation attended the opening ceremony on Saturday and received audiences with the Honourable President, Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck, and with the Chief Justice of Bhutan, Lyonpo Tshering Wangchuk. They also had the opportunity to meet on several occasions with the students and staff of the law school.
The delegation consisted of:

- (Ms) Jo Weiss, the firm’s Head of Social Responsibility; and
- (Mr) Louis O’Neill, pro bono counsel in the firm’s New York office.
One highlight of the visit was Ms MacLennan’s guest lecture to the students on Friday afternoon, in during which she discussed the role of lawyers in the national and international sphere.
Under the leadership of firm chairman (Mr) Hugh Verrier, White & Case has been involved with the law school effort since its inception, as well as numerous other initiatives in the legal sector.
