Professor Stephan Sonnenberg, the associate dean for clinical and experiential education, attended and spoke at a conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA) commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program at Harvard Law School.
Professor Stephan helped found the Program in 2007 as its first Clinical Fellow / Instructor.
He spoke about the importance of being introspective about one’s personal biases and sources of power as a “dispute resolver,” as well as the pitfalls of approaching social problems with a pre-determined “black-and-white” view of the issues involved.
