Lawyer/entrepreneur Adrian von Bernstorff joins clinical faculty

JSW Law welcomed (Mr) Adrian von Bernstorff, a long-time resident of Bhutan, as an Adjunct Research Associate in the clinical faculty.  He completed his first Judicial Examination from the University of Hamburg and his second Judicial Examination from the Department of Justice, Lower Saxony, Germany. Adrian worked as a Lawyer at the law firm Becker Büttner Held in Berlin, specializing in Renewable Energies. In 2013, he and his wife moved to Bhutan, where he co-founded a food business and helped with the establishment of a progressive Farmers Cooperative. Adrian is currently developing the Entrepreneurialism Clinic at JSW Law.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the addition of Mr. Von Bernstorff to our faculty,” said Stephan Sonnenberg, Associate Dean of Experiential and Clinical Legal Education. “Adrian knows what it takes to make small businesses click. Moreover, he knows how to do so in Bhutan, which will increasingly rely on small businesses to fuel local economies and drive innovation in Bhutan’s economic growth.”
