The Bhutanese Prime Minister, Dr. Lotay Tshering, and the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, witnessed the exchange of documents formally establishing a bilateral partnership between JSW School of Law (JSW Law) and National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, India.
The Dean and several other law faculty and staff were on hand at the ceremony, which was held at Simtokha Dzong, Thimphu.
NLSIU is only JSW Law’s third partner, after University of Vienna (Austria) and University of Victoria (Canada). “We look forward to diverse and dynamic collaboration with Bangalore, our first partner in the region,” said Prof. Michael Peil, JSW Law Vice Dean. “This is an exciting partnership between the number-one law school in India and the number-one law school in Bhutan.”
