Every year on the 21st of February, coinciding with the Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The King, JSW School of Law celebrates its Foundation Day.
On this day, the entire school family pauses to reflect not only the beginnings of JSW Law and its founders, but also on the significant development since its inception.
We set aside this day to celebrate our history and revisit and reconnect with the continuing journey of our Law School.
The first and only law school in the Kingdom of Bhutan, JSW School of Law was founded in 2015, by the promulgation of a Royal Charter by His Majesty the King. Its Royal mandate is to provide tertiary legal education, facilitate research in law and related fields, and to promote cultural enrichment and traditional values.
Today, the JSW Law family gathered at the Academic Campus in Taba and offered butter lamps for His Majesty’s long life and good health followed by remarks by Dean, student representatives, cultural activities, and entertainment programs by staff and students.
The celebration was graced by JSW Law Founding Dean Sangay Dorjee.
